Right now, the US Congress is sneaking in a new law that gives them big brother spy powers over the entire web — and they’re hoping the world won’t notice. We helped stop their Net attack last time, let’s do it again.
Over 100 Members of Congress are backing a bill (CISPA) that would give private companies and the US government the right to spy on any of us at any time for as long as they want without a warrant. This is the third time the US Congress has tried to attack our Internet freedom. But we helped beat SOPA, and PIPA — and now we can beat this new Big Brother law.
Our global outcry has played a leading role in protecting the Internet from governments eager to monitor and control what we do online. Let’s stand together once again — and beat this law for good! Sign the petition then forward to everyone who uses the Internet!

Five facts:
1. ACTA isn’t the “European” SOPA. It’s nearly GLOBAL, and will apply to every country that signs the treaty.
2. ACTA is far more aggressive. ACTA will not simply affect websites and have them blocked out of the internet - its measures go as far as surveillance of anything you share through private channels.
3. ACTA doesn’t have a campaign against it that is as wide-spread and organized as the SOPA one. This is DANGEROUS, as there’s less time between now and the final signing of ACTA.
4. ACTA has effects on healthcare, trade, and even tourism.
5. ACTA has to be stopped.
Let’s start spreading the word and organizing a good, solid response to it.

Piracy is illegal but sharing personal files isnt.Megaupload isnt only for sharing copyrighted things,and they still shutted it down.
Every action that the US government takes on the control and limitation of internet is not,like many squares out there think,just some thing they do to protect the interests of artists.
I mean,like the US government has ever done something that is not somewhat related to the achievement of political and militar supremacy.This is just the start of a long process that involves control,filtration and selection of information,like,for example,people being unable to upload any youtube video that contains information somehow negative for the government,like those videos of militars pissing on western prisioners.

This isnt a harmless manoeuvre to make your fave artists sell more records or stop people from uploading cat videos with copyrighted songs.This is about control of information.If anyone thinks i´m overreacting,its because that person is just not informed.Its on the news.these are not theories.
Im sorry if this sounds rude but its really a terrifying sign of control and the first tool that people will use to make it,its the Disinformation and lack of interest that many people is still showing about this matter.So it scares me that are so much people out there caring so little about this.
